How to use a clinometer

-How to use a Clinometer-

1.  Point your clinometer towards the object you would like to measure the distance of while looking through the tube.

2.  Have your partner with read the angle

3.  Next you will need to use your G.P.S. to find out your elevation

4.  Then you p plug your angle and elevation into the equation "distance=Elevation*tan"

5.  After calculating that you have the distance of your object.

WHALE OBSERVATION

The Purpose of our Whale Lab is to identify and learn about whale migration, and
what the processes is for Humpback Whales.

MY QUESTION
Will we see more humpback whales
during the Beginning of whale season
or towards the end of whale season?
HYPOTHESIS
My hypothesis is that we will see more
humpback Whales during the end of whale season because Hawaii
is one of the last stops in a humpback whale Migration.

My Experience of Whale Observation with the call was pretty great. I got to see a lot of whales
in the ocean with the limited time i had out at the observation spot. I got to see them blow, "tail slap" and do jumps.
